Walmart’s “Sick Day Policy” in action
I worked at Walmart for 1 1/2 years. I came down with the swine flu and started running a temperature at work. I asked to go home and was told by the manager on duty, that they couldn’t force me to stay but if I went home my job was in jeopardy, and to suck it up and get back to work. I ended up in the hospital the next day and out of work for the next week after exposing everyone on my team. In the whole 1 1/2 years that I worked there I had only called in sick 2 times.
